The 13th European Congress on Digital Pathology (ECDP 2016) will be held in Berlin, Germany, from May, 25 – 28, 2016. Digital pathology, originally an offshoot of telepathology is advancing to incorporate modern medicine with systems science, image processing, business process modelling and knowledge management. Methodological changes in microscopic techniques, imaging, molecular pathology, genetics and bioinformatics are drivers of digital pathology.
The congress program is drawing a bow from imaging technology and image analysis to workflow integration and computer aided diagnosis. Several roundtables are focused on actual developments like clinical workflow integration, integrative pathology and translational medicine. Pecha kucha, science slam and ePoster sessions offer modern formats of communication.
Participants have online access to all relevant information including schedule, presentations, abstracts as well as guidance through the industrial exhibition using the congress App.
With respect to rate of technical developments during the past years, time is right for an overview of potentials of scanning technology and their applicability in daily practice. The industrial exhibition shows the continuing growth and advances in the field and reflects the broad usability of the technology.
We are looking forward to welcome you in Berlin!
